Notice from March 20, 2020
Let me first express how important it is that we all do our part to flatten the curve, and halt the spread of COVID-19. The health and safety of our staff, customers, and community is of paramount importance to me.
Interior Design House is a small, independent furniture and home décor store, and the social distancing guidelines in place—though necessary—have affected our business significantly. Like many local business owners, I am carefully monitoring the information being provided by our public authorities, while trying to support my staff and preserve my business.
This week the government announced potential support for small businesses, but details are still forthcoming. The situation in Ontario is evolving day by day, and we are all reacting to this difficult situation as best we can.
With this in mind, beginning todayour entire showroom will be on sale for 40% off — a discount that is unprecedented at IDH.
Like many businesses, we are adjusting our processes and determining how we can best carry on. We are actively investigating alternative sales channels, and have implemented a number of preventative measures in order to protect our customers and staff:
We are limiting the number of customers allowed to enter the store at any one time to promote social distancing. Customers waiting to enter the store will be asked to stay in their cars,
Our staff is taking appropriate physical precautions when dealing with others.
We are routinely disinfecting all touch-points (counters, debit/credit machines, door handles, etc.).
We are no longer accepting cash—only credit/debit payments.
If you are under self-quarantine—please do not visit the store. We would be happy to shop with you via teleconference.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message, and for your continued support. I so appreciate you.
Be well and take great care,
Owner, Interior Design House since 1991
